It's not this cold in Kenilworth is it? |
I have always been impressed with the Inspector Orencas blog from South Coventry Police. This time it was the @Coventry_Police Twitter account that gave me the news. Did you know there have been 87 vehicles stolen across the West Midlands between November 15 and December 10? The thefts were attributed to leaving their car unattended and unlocked to warm up in the morning. Simple solution - Do Not leave your car with engine running or you will risk losing it. Officers say the peak day for these crimes is on Monday mornings between 7 and 8 am, suggesting that most offences happen when victims are preparing to travel to work or to do the school run. Insp Orencas also has a Tweet on the Beat section to his blog - very forward thinking.
